9. Swan Range: Northwestern Montana's Swan Range is more than a beautiful backdrop for the Flathead Valley. With Seeley and Swan Lakes to the west and the Bob Marshall Wilderness complex to the east, this area is home to an incredible array of wildlife including moose, bears, and wolves.

10. Makoshika State Park: The largest of Montana's state parks, Makoshika features an otherwordly landscape of fascinating badland rock formations, dramatic vistas, and fossils that tell the story of dinosaurs that roamed this land 65 million years ago.

11. State Capitol, Helena: Originally a gold mining camp named "Last Chance," Helena was first designated the territorial capital in 1875, then established as Montana's state capital in 1889. The stately capitol is topped with a copper dome and a statue of "Montana," better known as "Liberty." On the front lawn is an equestrian statue of Civil War General Thomas Francis Meagher, a former governor of the Montana Territory.

12. Wild Horse Island State Park, Flathead Lake: Used by the Salish-Kootenai Indians as a place to protect their horses from being stolen by other tribes, Wild Horse Island today is a 2,164-acre state park home to bighorn sheep, mule deer, birds, and of course, wild horses. As the largest island in the largest freshwater lake west of Minnesota, its beautiful shoreline is popular for outdoor recreation.

Ted Rechlin align= Author and illustrator Ted Rechlin has been drawing pictures and telling stories since he was three years old. While his drawings have gotten much better, his stories haven't really changed much. They're still about superheroes, bears, wolves, sharks, monsters, and lots of dinosaurs.

Ted feels very fortunate to live a life where he now gets paid to draw his pictures and tell his stories. He has contributed his work to many museums, zoos, and publishing companies like DC Comics and Dover Publications.

With four of his own educational children's books under his belt, Ted is excited about his newest release from Farcountry Press, the epic dinosaur coloring adventure Dinosaurs Live!
