- Jack Phillips is so passionate about health care in America that he wrote a book about it.
In Suppressed Medical Science: The Key to Lower Cost and Higher Quality Medical Care, the Harvard- and MIT-educated former chemical engineer and aerospace technologist takes a careful look at health care in America and draws some startling conclusions.
After discussing the history of medical services in the United States, Phillips reveals how the American Medical Association became a physician's union, allied itself with the pharmaceutical industry, and established a powerful surreptitious influence that has quashed competition and suppressed promising advances in medical science for a century. Phillips exposes many scientifically proven disease cures that have been mysteriously rejected by the American Medical Association, from heart disease to mental illness.
