 align= DAVID M. MORRIS' love of photography began on early backpacking trips in the Cascades. After graduating from Washington State University with a degree in Geology, serving in the Army, and traveling around the world for a year and a half, he earned a degree in photography at Brooks Institute of Photography. For the past 26 years he has been a freelance photographer in Bend. His pictures have been published in the Sierra Club and Audubon calendars, in magazines such as Sunset, Oregon Coast, Down East, Bend Living, Cascades East, Backpacker, Architectural Digest, and several other publications.
 align= FRED PFLUGHOFT began his professional photography career in 1988 while living in Bend, Oregon. The spectacular scenery of Central Oregon has been an inspiration to him throughout his career. His full-color photography appears regularly in both regional and national publications, as well as on postcards and calendars. He now has over two dozen books in print, including Yellowstone: Wild and Beautiful, Grand Teton: Wild and Beautiful, Wyoming: Wild and Beautiful II, and Wind River Range Impressions.
 align= BOB WOODWARD works primarily as a freelancer, interspersed with stints as an editor at Times-Mirror Magazines, Ziff-Davis, CBS Magazines, and the New York Times Magazine Group.Bob is active in Bend theater, writes a column in the local independent weekly newspaper, and hosts an outdoor segment on local television. He served as Bend's mayor from 1997 to 1999. Currently he is on the board of directors for the Bend Metro Park and Recreation District, and the Deschutes Basin Land Trust.
