Featured Photographer
Tim Cady, photographer for Northern Idaho Impressions, shares an anecdote from a favorite shot in the book, which features a cow moose and calf:
I was exploring a wetland at the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge when I discovered a cow moose giving birth. I found myself in a conundrum: Do I slink out of sight and sprint to the vehicle to grab my gear, possibly missing this once-in-a-lifetime event, or do I stay and watch, losing the shot but ensuring I experience this remarkable event? I stuck around, maintaining a respectful distance. When junior slipped out, I slipped away, sprinted for the gear, and returned to capture images of the calf’s first steps.
